Your Local Orthodontic Specialist Serving All Of Dallas County

Dr. Matt Brown was born and raised in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He has been keeping busy with jobs and volunteer opportunities since the 6th grade, including running paper routs, bagging groceries, working for the natural gas company and painting at a local furniture store. Throughout high school he enjoyed activities such as the Business Professionals of America, running track and becoming an all-district linebacker. He met his wife, Jilian in the 6th grade but it wasn’t until they became ballroom dance partners in high school that he knew she was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.  After working in a volunteer health clinic in college and coming home to visit his local orthodontist, he decided he wanted to become an orthodontist himself.

2006 was a great year for Dr. Brown. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biochemistry from Oklahoma State University, he married Jil and moved to Dallas to start dental school at Baylor College of Dentistry. He graduated dental school in 2010 ranking 4th in his class. Just as in high school he continued to stay busy with a wide variety of activities including mission trips to Matamoros, MX, becoming a sports representative on the student council, being voted the president of the dental fraternity Psi Omega and being involved as a covenant member of the Village Church. His wife, Jil, remained a voice teacher throughout dental college and was right beside him as he entered into his 3-year residency for Orthodontics at Baylor College of Dentistry.

His residency was a time of great growth, both personally and in his family. He worked as a general dentist on Saturdays and weeks off from residency, gaining valuable experience in a non-academic setting. His oldest son, Ethan, was born during the second year of his residency and his second son, Evan, was born right after his graduation in August of 2013.

"My family could not be more proud to be members of this world-class community. I am excited to continue to build relationships with local schools, sports teams and families in the hope that our practice can offer locals the orthodontic services that they need for healthy, straight and beautiful smiles. We are excited to meet you!"
